About Dr Ikechukwu (Ike) Osuji
Dr. Osuji was trained at the University of Jos in Nigeria, where he practiced for a short time prior to immigrating to the United States. Initially an attending student of Boston University, he studied 'International Health' in Developing Countries. Following this, Dr. Osuji attended Howard University, working as a research graduate at the Sickle Cell Center of the University.
Dr. Osuji entered the residency program of Howard University Hospital where he was a Chief Resident of the program, and became a Board Certified Internist in 1997. After completing his residency, he pursued and received a Master's Degree in Public Health at the George Washington University, in Washington, D.C.
With over 34 years of medical experience in the DFW Metroplex, Dr. Osuji practiced as an Emergency Room physician for more than 10 years before opening his own private internal medicine practice. His focus remains on providing preventative patient care for a variety of medically complex patients - in particular those with pulmonary, cardiovascular, infectious disease, and neurological conditions.
In his free time, Dr. Osuji enjoys tennis, soccer and reading, as well as caring for his wife, daughter and son.
